Purpose & Goals

TO: Solicit funding and donations to support the preservation of America's own home-bred music genres - rockabilly and country.

TO: Continue to operate and maintain the Rockabilly Hall of FameŽ activities and its web site, preserve its 11 year historical archives and to expand its information base. Any income generated from the "Rockabilly Hall of Fame," "Traditional Country Hall of Fame" and "That Bakersfield Sound" web sites will become assets of Rockabilly Music Preservation, Inc.

TO: Host rockabilly concerts using legendary performers and young talent that perform early rock 'n' roll and country music. This will give elder performers a chance to perform again and provide much needed exposure for the newer talent ... all for the purpose of keeping traditional music alive.

TO: Include traditional country music into our programs whenever possible ... because of the strong ties between early rock, vintage country and Bakersfield artists and their influences.

TO: Continue to maintain 501(c)(3) status.
