GENE ON HIS FIRST EUROPEAN TOUR
IN DECEMBER 1959
Gene arrived for his first European tour in London on December 5, 1959
and had his first show on December 6 in London at the Tooting Granada
(see article from Jack Good in weekly music magazine DISC).
Apart from appareances in the UK on the TV show BOYS MEET GIRLS,
he gave a show in Paris most famous place "Olympia" where he was backed
by the house band (see pictures of rehearsals and the show). He also played a few dates
for US army bases in Germany (no details available about this), before coming back to
the U.K. on January 6 1960 for a longer tour.
