DEVON JONES was born in Lucedale, Miss., November 27, 1949. He moved to Hattiesburg, Miss. and
started writing songs and playing local clubs and functions. Later Devon moved to Louisiana and was a
guest on the New Louisiana Hayride in 1984 four times. There, in 1992, he met his long time idol and
greatest influence, guitarist James Burton. Together they began writing, arranging and recording
the material for this fine CD . . . "SONGS ABOUT THE LATE LEGENDS".
