(The MAC - 002 by Burt Allis has been released on RCA Records in Germany.) On MAC 112 Mac was backed up by Billy Wiggle & The Wigglers. (This band has stayed together for 21 years!) They also did back up for Johnny Olenn on MAC 124 and MAC - 128 and Joe Clay on MAC 131.
LATEST NEWS FROM MAC RECORDS: Dec. 1998
Being released in springtime 1999 a new hot rockabilly 45 rpm record by BOBBY LOWELL & the ROCK-A-BOOGIE BOYS from LINCOLN, NEBRASKA on MAC - 140.
Being released in springtime 1999 a new rockin' platter on 45 rpm by DENNIS HUNT & his HUNTERS from WICHITA, KANSAS. Two unreleased tracks from l957 on MAC - 139. At present DENNIS HUNT is still a DJ as he also was in the late fifties in WICHITA, he is a journalist too in LAS-VEGAS, NEVADA.
Rockabilly singer PAT CUP who did his last LIVE performance in HEMSBY, ENGLAND in October 1995, HEMSBY WEEKENDER 15, had a serious accident last August 1998 and still suffers from a severe burn on his right leg from just below the knee to the top of his ankle. The doctors have operated once and did skin grafts. The skin grafts have done well and are growing, but he still doesn't have skin over the shinbone. The shinbone is exposed and is expected to be for quite some time. The doctors are hoping that the skin grafts will grow and cover the shinbone within the next two or three months. If this does not happen they will have to operate again and use other methods to cover the shinbone. However, as PAT told me he's doing very well under the circumstances and we send Pat our best wishes that he will recover real quick and starts rockin' again!
GENE MALTAIS and his wife, who are both retired now, moved last November 1998 to the state of FLORIDA permanently. In 1999 there will be released on the GERMAN based CASTLE-ED label a new 45 rpm record by GENE MALTAIS with one new penned song by GENE called "FOREVER IN MY HEART", a great fifties style and sound rockin' ballad and the flip side will be a new recorded version of his fifties original DECCA-release called " DEEP RIVER BLUES" A great classic rocker.

Dear Rockabilly Hall of Fame,
I have a new catalog of my own, small but independent record label. (Vinyl only!) Releasing records with only new songs (after MAC - 101) by as well as new bands and old performers. I'm not on the Internet.
Bobby Lowell and the Rock-A-Boogie Boys went into the studio November 15, to cut 4 new rockabilly songs for release on my label in the near future. It was recorded with the old equipment and instruments to get the real fifties sound, just like are on all my Mac Records!
I did also 2 - 45 rpm's and 1 LP with Johnny Olenn who is still doing fine today and lives in Las Vegas. Also living in Las Vegas is Freddie Bell which I recorded 2 songs with, not released yet and Freddie is a fantastic artist too and still performing today.
Then I did a 45 rpm Mac 131 with Joe Clay, his only 2 original recorded songs, specially penned for him, as all his RCA/VIK material were cover songs! I saw Joe Clay perform again in Hemsby - England on the Hemsby rock 'n' roll weekend, together with Sammy Masters, Merrill E. Moore and Otis Williams of The Charms. They were fantastic!
My next release will be by Dennis Hunt and his Hunters on Mac - 139 in the beginning of 1999! Dennis Hunt ws a rocker way back in the fifties who recorded for the Say label and even was D.J. in Wichata, Kansas. Dennis is a friend too and today he's still living in Las Vegas and a D.J. and journalist!
I will continue releasing good old rock 'n' roll as long as I can! ROCK'N'ROLL FOREVER!!
With rockin' regards!
Mac Bouvrie
