When it comes to rockabilly, this high energy performer does it like no other. The King's first album was praised by south Florida's Jam magazine for it's "snarling vocals, hip-swiveling swift guitar, and wild teenage rave-up's." King Richard's style was described as "More southern fried rockabilly than Texas or delta blues." The sound he gets from his Gretsch 6120 Nashville and Fender blues-deluxe amp is pure classic rockabilly.
The 8-song cassette was reviewed in the 9/11/97 issue of Jam, Florida's music magazine, and given three stars. Richard has performed with veteran guitar slingers like; Mason Ruffner, Bo Diddley, Johnny J., Mike Beeson, Rob Rage, and blues greats like, Jay Monq'd and "Motel Mel."
King Richard rock's and bops his rockabilly originals and choice covers live in the south Florida area, with a stripped down traditional trio of guitar, bass, and drums. For info on current appearances E-mail RDoredant@aol.com
